Airport precipitation data seems like complete garbage. Namely at Nav Canada stations.

Some examples from November:

Eg1: Dease Lake Airport:

EC station = 9.6 mm
NC station = 4.7 mm

So NC was less than half EC! No days missing for either station.

Eg2: Fort St. John Airport:
EC station = 14.9 mm
NC station = 5.7 mm

So NC recorded just 38% of EC.

Eg3: Clinton (note that stations are 18 km away with EC station almost 100m lower)
EC station = 42.5 mm
NC station = 11.8 mm
NC just 28% of EC

Eg4: Fort St. James
EC station = 17.2 mm
Unknown operator station = 25.2 mm
EC station 68% of other station

Eg5: Kamloops airport
EC station = 33.8 mm
NC station = 27.5 mm
NC station just 88% of EC

Eg6: Quesnel airport
EC station = 48.2 mm
NC station = 39 mm
NC = 81% of EC

Eg6: QSmithers airport
EC station = 47.1 mm
NC station = 38.9 mm
NC = 83% of EC

Eg8: YVR
EC station: 170.1 mm
NC station: 103.8 mm
So NC only had 61% of EC station

But it wasn't all bad. I found two places where both stations were accurate (although only one involved NC):

eg1: North Cowichan
EC station = 89.4 mm
CCN manual station (assumed 10:1 ratio on snow) = 92.1 mm
EC station is 97% of other station, so these two seem accurate.

eg2: Sandspit airport
EC station = 96.1 mm
NC station = 99.6 mm
so EC station had 96% of NC station

36mm @ the pond in south Sardis today since midnight actually the central valley did decent with this event.
