No longer in operation, but they have just a cheap household thermometer inside the Stevenson Screen, but no ECCC thermometers. Paint is flaking off really bad. I should have taken a picture of the inside.

Probably cheaper for ECCC to just leave it be there than take it away.

Finally, I took some photos of the Lillooet station! A good one.

Whistler is far too close to the trees. Lillooet is good for temperature, but I see no anemometer and no proper gauge for measure winter precipitation like we see here...

Far too close to the trees... and the road. Moreover, the Stevenson screen is in very bad condition. Actually, there are 2 stations in Whistler: WAE operated by NAVCAN and VOC operated by ECCC. You can see the small shelter on the right of my last photo above.

Yep, no anemometer in Lillooet and only a "regular" rain gauge. But good location.

Yes Lillooet is good perhaps to close to the cement road and grass needs to be badly cut.
Whistler is a joke it use to be up at Alta lake up the mountain l visted the station during a grade 7 field trip to our teachers cabin l stumbled upon it when we were allowed to venture around the property it was just down the road.
That's a memory l'll never forget having a desire for meteorology the station was manned the and observer showed me around.
Obs were taken from 6a.m. until 10 or 11p.m. now it's automated and inaccurate.

Oh that is absolutely horrible Corporal Goose for Whistler however Lillooet needs a full service observation station.
