ICON is completely different for Monday. Setup looks colder than today which would bode well for snow chances.

Also the models continue to indicate that the dominant NPAC ridge we have seen the past 20 days will be undercut in the extended range :thumbup:

00z ICON looks quite snowy next Monday. 00z GFS? Completely different; Dry and cold.

Yes the models are trying to break the pattern lock. Didn't they try to do this over a week ago as well and nothing happened Nito? :bang: :bang: :bang: :bs:

12z EURO undercut the block by day 8 but started to rebuild the NPAC ridge thereafter.

I would say probably less than 10cm on the grass and roofs plus all the snow piles. It is of the well packed old snow variety.

I’m guessing about 1.5 - 2 more weeks then pattern change time.

If YVR can hold on to the subfreezing monthly average, this would be the coldest month since January 1993!
