To be honest, I hope your place looks like that as well. You deserve a big snowfall for once!

Thanks. Last December was a very good one here. Around 25 cm.

Dave Barrett was leader only to loose to the old Social Credit Party and Bill Bennett l was living in Vancouver on West 16th and Larch l remember taking my 2 meter Sherwin Williams Paint ruler outside to measure seemed to me it was close to 30cm, what a weird time to hold an election.
You're remembering the December 12th, 1975 snowstorm. Election was held on the 11th, storm began on the afternoon of the 12th, heavy snow in the evening/night, ending early morning of the 13th. Widespread 20-30cm totals with that storm. Busses were stuck going up and down Burnaby mountain that evening (12th) due to the heavy snow.

Looking back at the records, the Como Lake station recorded 36cm of snow that day. It all mostly fell in a 12hr span. Crazy snowfall rates.

Given a recent run of west-focused events, we’re sorta due for an east-focused one.

The temp/dew point doesn't really explain it, so I'm not sure what the scientific explanation would be.
That's the scent of impending doom. Can't be measured on any instruments, only registers in the gut and the nose.

Until the white flakes are falling there's always a chance that it'll go south, north, east or west or warm up that 1/2 degree. :shh:

We're in the territory where a last second rug pull would rival 2011. Just hope to god that isn't what's happening here.

I will have a good laugh if it’s a rug pull. Because why not? It’s not as if getting upset will magically make the snow come back.
