Kool l know l did a search on You Tube there's a vid from the Christmas eve day snowstorm 2008 from the TWN complete with that famous music that went with the warning.

YouTube vid was from the morning of Dec 20th when it dropped down to -15c at YVR. We were awaiting the Dec 21st storm to arrive that night.

Does this mean that if the precipitation is heavy enough, the temperature would drop from +3 to -1C?

More like 0c or -0.3c Jr man your dewpoint usually comes up abit as well so just a tad below 0c but that would be sticking snow.

Wow nice find l believe that was a Saturday night it could have been a Friday night just going off memory l remember the snow started later that evening.

Yup and busy on the forums too! I often wonder what my neighbours think if they see my flashlight shining out the window. There's no streetlights round here so it's the only way I can see the snow.

That's correct Houndhind that was due to the fact people thought it was an emergency alert.
But 1cm of snow is an emergency out here.
