You get many people coming from warm weather climates that think of snow as being a fluffly powdery thing and will be shocked when it's the consistency of a slushy. The blame isn't directly on them but on the government that fails to recommend winter tires and sets out licensing programs that allows anyone coming from overseas to quickly gain a license.

It will get worse with more people unless the government acts.

Where's Storm?

I thought he'd be right back to work tracking our next snowfall potential.

GFS showing real boring weather the next 7 days.

GEM looks better for moisture but has warmer upper levels for more mixed precip.

I woke up with roughly 18cm here - we usually get the lowest amounts so it's actually quite a surprise to get a bit more than other places (especially seeing as I'm only at about 100ft elevation)...

I cleared our walkway last night about 930pm (there was about 5-6cm or so on it), and at least another 10+cm this morning.

I measured 18cm on my back porch as an average (taking from multiple locations). Sheesh!

I was slightly disappointed given our location, we ended up with 14cm, however it is still November… gotta keep reminding myself that.

Geesh that's insane Arbes, however there was bullseye just west of Chilliwack we were on the edger and picked up a meager 3cm. :x it wasn't a large swatth as Abby sr picked up a couple cm's as well. I wonder where the freeze line is still -2c at the pond in south Sardis yet )'m seeing plus 1c just down Highway 1 to the west.

Sardine is just another gullible individual apparently. The idea nobody wants to work is so stupid its beyond comprehension. First off, how rich do these people think we are? Costs of living here are through the roof and they think there's a whole slew of people just chilling on their couch all day? I find it insulting but I think that's the intent.

And radar you believe the government that 16.50 is a living wage? Do you expect people to work 120 hours a week? Or do you think it's 1995? If the government says that they need to be fired into the sun.

Maybe some of you need to take econ 101. Supply vs demand. If you offer Sh*t employment for way low wages you are not entitled to any employees. The way some employees are treated makes them seek greener pastures. It seems you folks want a world where people are locked in to their job with no access to the free market you so vehemently defend.

Based off people l talk to at work we have different firms that go through our site and most are screaming for employees. And it only started when rhe government started handing out free money during Covid l don't think that's gullible isn't that laziness and taking advantage of a situation.
Look at how many recieved CERB and weren't entitled to it sorry if l ruffled your feathers Kells l didn't mean to but l should have explained my reasoning.

Hit the nail on the head. I'll be the first to say I'm very lucky with how much I make. It's enough to live in this city. But $16.50/hr is nothing. That's $660 a week BEFORE taxes and deductions. $2500 a month is getting you nothing in this city.

People want to work. But they want to be fairly compensated.

Free money that needed to be paid back. To people who literally couldn't go to work because the world shut down. We bail out banks and corporations all the time, but when it comes to helping out the little guy, suddenly that makes people lazy and entitled.

Seems like quite a common refrain from boomers that young people are lazy. We are not. We just know what our worth is.

I tend to agree with your take here, but can we please a) express our differences without lobbing pejoratives like “gullible” at each other, b) take this thread off the monthly weather forum and to one for political/economic debate? (And yes, I realize that you are responding and did not start this off-topic drift.)
It's called clown range for a reason.
