It was so ironic going to a Tim Hortons near me and hearing an employee get chewed out by a customer for a coffee taking 3 min and then proceeding to complain about the lack of staff.
These low paying jobs suck but the hostile people approaching the employees make it 10x worse. Even "higher paid" jobs like nursing and teaching suck due to abusive patients or parents.
The lack of basic human decency is honestly shocking sometimes, especially the entitlement and attitude that comes off some people when dealing with retail staff. They just give off the stench of "oh, these people are just here to serve me." Please, join the 21st century.
They do say that the truest measure of a person's character is in how they treat people who are lower down the pecking order...

The amount of people who treat retail people like scum is sad. Seeing someone break down at McDonald's because she's getting yelled at over a hash brown is something I never thought I would see.

Mostly for Seattle south according to the models. But if the models see it, it is not a #surprise, is it?
It may be heavy wet concrete that partially melted overnight, but at least there’s going to be snow on the ground heading into the next chilly outflow episode. And at least I scored about twice as much melty wet concrete as Downtown did. I picked my neighbourhood well.
