I agree, it was pretty boring but after the exciting weather of the past couple of years, flooding, tornado, heat dome, extreme cold (I'm surprised it hasn't rated a 'cool' name) I'm quite happy to settle for boring. Like that ancient curse, May you live in interesting times... but, I'm still waiting for thunder snow!
Unprecedented still resonates the most but was over used by years end.
Your right 2021 deserves it's own special name the year that was.
It's really disappointing how this week is going after last Tuesday's snowfall outside of the dry strong Arctic outflow it's really been uneventful.
It seems we get precip then go into this lull.
I mean yes we had those sub 0c highs in the central valley. l was expecting more in the way of snow chances that never really materialized, l thought early on the models were showing a train of sliders l could be wrong.

I agree with you here, it was looking to be epic start with all the proposed snow but meh. Though meh is maybe not right because we did get snow and it has stuck around, just disappointing as copared to how it was looking.
Model riding is odd sometimes like last week we were were looking at early to mid range model runs for snow chances. Now other than perhaps some slushies the end of this week were back to looking at clown stuff for any Arctic blasts.

We just got our warning shot with a bit of snow and cold...
Now all we need is to experience something that hasn't happened locally in 30 years... A cold January!
