I’ll take a cold and potentially snowy Christmas over a cold January. Sorry, Typing man. Although both would be great.

Eh. It's been 30 years since we last had a cold January. If it was locked in, I'd take that in a heartbeat over just a few days of snow/cold around Christmas.

Yuuuuup. I remember when i was a younger man, that most Januarys seemed like a guarantee for 1-2 weeks of Arctic, with troff after troff with snow. Cold and snowy seemed to be normal. Sadly, since the ~80's these tremendous events have disappeared. Ever since Nito was born??

Yes but I'd like some adjustments to the ridge and trough position. If that were to verify, it would likely be backdoor dry cold. While better than nothing, it would be nice to see a classic arctic front with a polar low coming straight down from the north.

@Monty...is your area the recipient of "Cold air damning" in Saturdays set up with the Easterlies?
I see the Hood Anal and East Island is always getting smoked with snow while surrounding areas get cold rain
for us
