Is Puntzi Mountain really the coldest spot in the province when it's very cold? I'm willing to say no. Only pedophiles and rapists care what the lows are. Good people care more about afternoon highs, and really good people take windchill into account.

In December and February, yes I agree.

January, however, has been a steaming pile of s*** for 30 years. Recall that it is historically the month with the highest likelihood of extreme cold and/or long cold snaps alongside extreme snowfall and/or prolonged snowy stretches. Case in point in Vancouver, the top five snowiest months in recorded history were in January, while the top ten coldest months in recorded history were in January.

Uphill both ways? My mum was from Quebec and would tell us she walked miles in the snow to get to school and that was the joke.

Shhh...don't let on to Jr. man. it's currently a chilly 0c @ the pond in south Sardis and yes it is a little icey in the central valley.

Unfortunately Jr. man those types of events don't happen anymore but l can remember a way back when how it use to be.
I would have to walk blocks to school in blizzard conditions in Vancouver.
