Could you imagine the outflow!!!!

Yes! Like the one in around 1990ish, where the winds were nasty for 5 days straight and everything was frozen solid, power outages, trees down, and this was in Surrey, I can remember it was really bad in the valley as well and even in Vancouver proper. Then we had a huge overrunning event. Such sweet times.

Debating on whether I should create a WX Twitter account to hype this up.
"Major Arctic blast headed for the South Coast. Snow amounts in excess of 1 meter should fall by next week."
Yes, then add things like "Seattle through Oregon look to get 'cold rain' with no snow .. etc.

Sorta disappointing actually. Surface temps only 4ËšC. Was hoping for 10 or better.

Most likely (95%), this will all shift a bit east but the maps and charts are cool to look at.

A bit east, maybe. When every model is pounding us with an arctic air mass I think that's the likeliest scenario.

I think a classic arctic blast is pretty much locked in. Timing, duration, and snow is still uncertain. But it's likely going to get very cold.

I'm just hoping that we keep the surface cold until Christmas if any snow falls.
