Euro looks very cold!

Block looks much healthier on Tuesday which keeps us cold but dry. Going to be a lot of model riding this week to sort out the details but it’s nice to have the Euro consistently putting us in the icebox

Absolutely. Get the cold air in place and let the details sort themselves out. Hard to imagine with -10c 850mb temps sitting over the water that something doesn't spin up to give us some surprise snow. Where and when is impossible to say.

Also seeing more of a SE Ridge developing early next week as our NPac Ridge restrengthens. Would help to lock in the cold out west

Well well not looking as historic classic cold snappish as 12 hours ago. Like I said before it will get cooler maybe colder but it won’t be historic just because one run was super cold!!

Looks far colder and longer than the 12z, John. Just relaying what the models are showing.

Wow what a run, close to -20c 850’s in the region. Don’t see Euro runs that crazy very often, now we just need some solid snowcover going into the cold to maximize low temps

Even as the trough shifts east by the end of the run, there really aren't any dynamics to scour out the low level cold air. If we get snow, it will stick around for Christmas.
