True. I was just pointing out that in recent years, it was almost a guarantee to see at least something in January. Now its not so much so.

Exactly buttees. At least the powerful arctic Interior High has made a comeback..even tho it looks a little too far East. But we need to see this happen over the next several years. It's very possible :wish:
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

It seems the GEM map and GEM meteocode don't align. The map looks like 12" plus in Surrey. The chart only has 12 cm

I was honestly surprised that the elevation is as :w101: as it is, with the dikes out here you feel like you are below sea level sometimes

I don't think anything has ever come close to the December 96 blizzard. Sure was something else...

Oh man this is a great video. This is why you should have snow tires! And never cross a bridge when it's snowing heavy!

I grew up in PG. I loved the winters. Frigid and snowy. I have lots of fun memories going hiking in the snow looking for Christmas trees with my family and friends. I was really young at the time but I even remember waking up to a morning low of -50C once. Certainly doesn't get that cold there anymore though it still gets way colder then here.
