To be fair, I was going for 10–15 and only upped it to 15–25 when 00Z Euro joined the consensus of the short-term models and trended higher. And even that busted.

Blizzard Warning

Periods of heavy blowing snow will take place all night tonight into tomorrow. As this system is more powerful it will force itself inland so the fraser valley will get more snow this time, with blowing snow, and drifting snow.

This is a widespread event that will deliver snow to all areas. Snowfall amount will vary across the region but anywhere from 15 to 30cm could fall. This will cripple travel tomorrow morning. Not advised to go out if you don't need too Even if you work, call a snow day.

Colder air moves in behind this snowfall and then at the end of the week we will see another snow storm. This one could also drop about 20cm

So, some areas may have 40+cm of snow on the ground by the end of the week. Very unique situation!

This is as close to blizzard conditions we have seen in many many years. Looking forward to reading your reports and seeing your photos.

Not quite the extreme totals you guys are reporting to the west, but 23.4 cm storm total here.

29 cm total on the ground.

Kinda like a junior version of '08. Pretty good considering how bleak things were looking here just 18 hours ago.
