I'm so happy everyone is getting a good dose of winter, much anticipated and no rug pull!!!!! I didn't get much snow out of this storm, as I suspected, the wind took care of most of the moisture. I have probably about 2cm of new snow, its hard to tell with it blowing in every direction. The snow isn't the big issue here its the cold and ice, I live off grid with micro-hydro power and we have very low water and very cold temps threatening to cut our power. Winter is still my fav season even with all the challenges.

Micro-hydro cool!!! Off grid is a lot of work, I hope there's enough flow to keep you in power. I thought I was roughing it here having to carry water to the animals but probably not in comparison.

Everything here is incompetent, and the reason is, is because nobody gets fired!! Heads should roll when such a lack of service is provided from an actual important service provider. Unreal.

Ruthless rubus telling Seattlites how much we got as they're struggling to accumulate an inch. Honestly at this point I hope they do get something. Otherwise that is a massive last second rug pull probably similar to 2011. So many model runs giving it to Seattle and it trends north at the last minute.

I work for a govt agency and part of the problem is when any new projects get built it has to go to the lowest bidder. Then cost over runs always happen and then pennies get pinched to try and keep costs down. Much like our cable bridges not having heated or automated snow removal, the technology is available but is not installed due to cost.

Okay but this alsp happened years ago. Why wouldn't they have at least added a heater. ? Just seems like vancouver always does stuff half ass.

I had a snowfall like that when I lived on the north end of Bellingham! Sorta hard to get a measurement when you get one of those.

My daughter checked the translink’s website before we left home but found no special announcement or updates about its services and I believe that lots of people just headed to the stations without knowing anything.

Feel bad for the people who had to sit in the cold.
