Just got in after spending 2 hours freeing my car from the snow.
My road is is impassible unless you have snow tires. So many people got stuck and it's a very low grade.
My official measurement is 28CM measured on the car that had no snow on it before this event.
Pile that on the previous 14CM
Grand total 42CM!!!

I took some pics but my phone froze and is thawing. It literally shut itself off.

Now I'm having a matcha green tea latte with one big ass marshmallow!

Currently -10.0

Very light snow.

City of Abbotsford is really dropping the ball today. Roads are terrible even at 4 pm. Barely any plowing has been done even on main routes. Do they have one plow for the entire city?

Salt and sand alone just doesn't cut it. Plowing should be a priority.

Marshall Road hill is pure ice, cars sliding down backwards.

Broadway corridor. CoV probably transferred road maintenance to the construction consortium during the project because of their big metal plates and bridges over the excavation pits. plows would catch edges or bolts and tear it apart

Parts of Barnet Hwy, Pinetree Way, and Dewdney Trunk Rd in Coquitlam aren't faring too well either. All major arterials. Definitely in need of a couple plow runs. A bit of compact snow with sand is good in this weather but some parts still have snow that runs up to the base of the car.

Lougheed Hwy as usual is in great shape. I believe both municipal and provincial crews cover the route.

Yeah, my car only has 5.5" of ground clearance, so I was rubbing on snow about 50% of the time. I was struggling pretty bad to get traction even with a good set of snow tires. Rear wheel drive doesn't help matters.

I thought they would have done a better job on the roads since the snow stopped over 6 hours ago. Lucky I didn't need to go in to work today. I really hope the roads aren't like this in the morning when I have to work.

10 more than me. I must sometimes get snow-shadowed by Little Mountain during these events.

The first car to come down the laneway my place is on acted like a plow and pushed a berm ahead of it. It’s not that big a deal for even a normal passenger car to scrape bottom in light fluffy snow like this. Heavy wet glop is a different matter entirely.
