Pineapples belong on the plate, not in the sky (or on a pie imo but that might start a fightwetcoast91 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 21, 2022 5:45 pm I got mega ones now too for Catagory 3 or over Pinapple events.

-10.3C. We did it. First negative double digits since I moved to this house in Feb 2014. Could be the coldest night in Shawnigan Lake since 2008 if skies remain clear

But is he wrong? A lot of stuff that happens here is because people are literally cocky and smug. I love Vancouver but it's not the Vancouver it was once known for.

Re: December 2022 Forecasts And Discussions
Poor layout is the Canadian way. And especially the BC way. Over 100 traffic lights on BC's only trans-north-south highway (hwy 97). No American state would ever design such an inefficient highway. When I was living in Washington State I tracked my miles/gallon. And then did the same in Canada. About 20% more miles/gallon in the US because of more efficiently designed roads. I used cruise control all the time. In BC I drove highway 97 from Osoyoos to Fort St. John (over 1000km) and never used cruise control once.

It is so cold outside. Had a fire with some friends and had too a hard time generating enough heat from it, had to pack it in by 6

Re: December 2022 Forecasts And Discussions
It's only 7 pm and the temperature is already BELOW the forecast low for tonight! It's going to be much colder than EC forecasts!
Similarly, Prince George and Kamloops are already at or near their lows for tonight.

Re: December 2022 Forecasts And Discussions
I used to be in an earthquake preparedness community group and trying to get people/organizations to actually care about being prepared was like trying to pull teeth. Every excuse they have for being wilfully ignorant of the dangers a large earthquake will have here on the coast. Nobody is ready. They think it's never going to happen. That is why I made the comment, they need a dose of reality, people have been protected here from natural disasters unlike the rest of the world.
