Pretty steady as she goes. Tempted to lean toward RGEM and not as a wishcast. RGEM has handled the past week amazingly well.
Somewhat fitting, that the Canadian model deals with Canadian arctic air masses the best.

18z is much juicier. That's the difference I think.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 1:32 pm Pretty steady as she goes. Tempted to lean toward RGEM and not as a wishcast. RGEM has handled the past week amazingly well.

Fantastic skipper Gumply just in time for my first and most likely last Sardine plunge in the Vedder canal on Boxing day.
It's currently -13c shortbread cookies @ thecpond in south Sardis and cloudy.

Interested to see what the HRDPS spits out since it runs at a higher resolution than the RGEM.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 1:32 pm Pretty steady as she goes. Tempted to lean toward RGEM and not as a wishcast. RGEM has handled the past week amazingly well.

Welcome Mr. Spuz, say hi to the mayor.Spuzzum wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 12:44 pm I don't really post, but I'm a longtime observer of the forum (I guess I am an introvert offline AND online!), but I really wanted to chime in here and say that this past week has been amazing.
Fingers crossed that whatever happens over the next couple of days doesn't cause mayhem, and no one gets hurt!

Re: December 2022 Forecasts And Discussions
Wow, the fact that some areas had no wind seems to foreign to me - it's been ULTRA blustery here the entire time - our windchill values have been like -22 to -25. So weird to hear many places that have had no wind.Michael1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 22, 2022 11:56 am Well, as we prepare to bid farewell to our winter weather, I have to say it's been better than most; the snow stayed on the trees, because of a lack of wind. The lack of wind made it pleasant to walk, even at -9 and the snow was dry and a pleasure to walk in. True we've had colder temps before and true, we've had deeper snow, BUT this has been awesome!!!

Think night time snows followed by AM rain...c'mon? That's the usual protocol here.
