Huh, I was just in Richmond and it looked like it was lightly snow hitting my windshield while I was waiting at a light, but I assumed it was blowing snow from the cars going in the other direction

it warmed up here to -7.5, seems to be dropping again as it's -7.7 and DP is -15.2

One of the things I miss most about living further west is seeing the roofs and trees coated with a thick layer of snow. It really adds to the whole atmosphere of snow events. Unfortunately, pretty rare in my area. If it does happen, it only last for about day until the wind removes it, or it melts.

Or maybe not, seeing as how the outflow is eating it for lunch.
It's called clown range for a reason.

It wasn't even modeled to be over the Island at this point.

RGEM might have the right idea (again) then. It has the precip starting earlier than almost everyone else.

Soooooo, who's staying up tonight?

With no guarantees of cold and snow in our climate, I'm definitely staying up for this one.
