That’s way too general of a statement. I know multiple people who have spun out and come across other vehicles with problems.

Precip pretty well stopped for now, I presume this will speed up warming.

So far, the precip totals have been unimpressive, and the storm has been a bit of a dud around Burnaby/Coquitlam. Basically all it's done is added a layer of crust on top of all the snow that fell earlier in the week However it's the warm/wet systems coming on the conveyor belt from Hawaii that is gonna be more impressive in terms of precip totals over the next few days.

Cool scenes out East with the flash freeze creating frozen grass ripples. Winds in excess of 100km/hr. Some LE zones could see 1.5 meters of snow by Sunday!

People spun out in rain to be honest. For winter conditions the roads are fine. People go out with summer tires and think they have a chance, they don't.

:alert:

Having more winter spells akin to this and last year would be nice. Throwback to the winters of the 90s and prior. Just without a cold January. :x

It could be worse. Buffalo is expecting massive lake effect snow the next two days.

There's such thing as too much snow.

Yup, I just scraped about 1cm of ice off everything that I had already shoveled just a couple hours earlier... Temp now at -4.7C here.

That’s a whole separate issue. The major ice patches in certain areas is not an every day occurrence. So to say that the road conditions are perfectly fine is false.
