A shame it didn't last through to after Christmas.

How much snow did you all received yesterday prior to the switchover? I didn't officially measure at my place, but I shovelled what appeared to be at least about 12+cm off my deck and front driveway. It was mixed snow at 830am but had switched to straight ice pellets by 9, and mixed zr/ice pellets for a long time after that... How does that compare with everyone else?

Not sure exactly. I had 5 cm of new snow when I left for work yesterday morning at 7 am. It was still a mix of snow, ice pellets and freezing drizzle at that time, but it was already quite compact. When I came home last night at 8:30 pm there was 8.4 cm of compact snow/ice where I measured, but I have no idea what happened in between those times.

The temperature finally hit 0C at about 6:30 am this morning. 0.8C and moderate rain now.

Edit: YXX reported 11 cm yesterday, for what it's worth. That's quite close to your 12 cm estimate.

New Year's has been hinted at for a while... but It looks like a slush fest if anything.

Hoping for another week or so stretch of cold n snow.
