I saw there was a wind warning up but it's dead calm here and haven't had much more than gusts of 25km since midnight..not trying to rib you just weird that you have winds strong enough to knock out power

The West Coast weather weenie version would involve a GFS run with a snow chance somewhere beyond hour 300.
It's called clown range for a reason.

It was only a few strong gusts a couple hours ago and now it's dead calm here too. I suspect the tree was stressed from the previous few days.

Wow, lots of snow melt last night.

A couple heavy bursts of rain, wind and a high of 13.6C at 6:44 am. It's down to 9.7C now.

Well, local ski hills ruined and snow-pack took a hard hit over the last couple days. Amazing how all the beautiful snow down here has been completely devastated and wiped out. You notice, EVERY TIME we have a decent cold spell with a nice snow buildup, we always get a lame AR that destroys everything, and as soon as the snow is gone, the AR stops, just like today. So pathetic. Is it too much to ask for a slow warm-up or just showers rather than torrential rain?

Don't forget February, March and April when our eventual endless cold rain will mean lots or Mountain snows!!!

This fabled April cold thing is vastly exaggerated. We've had some crazy warm aprils recently. We've also had some cold ones. Its not that warm of a month on average.
