YVR currently reporting light rain with a temperature of 3.5˚C and a dew point of 2.3˚C. With those numbers I would normally say “no way!” unless you are @Pomoman. But looking at the radar it’s heavy.

So it’s a battle between the meh temperatures and the heavy precip. Could well see some wet flakage.

Look at the strength of that block. Combined with a southeast ridge you'd have to think we would be cold for longer than the previous couple cold snaps.

Is this too far west for us? Or just our neighbours down south?

Too far west but also too far out for details. Given the strength of that ridge, my guess is we go into a significant cold pattern. :D :flakey:

It could potentially also pivot and swing back to a more north/south gradient. The Canadian ensembles seem to depict this.

To me, the ensemble snow line is too far south to be chalked up to simply "terrain bleed". However I know that ensemble means are a mix of widely variable snow outputs so the average can be skewed by a few 50+ cm runs when a lot of runs show nothing. So take it with a grain of salt but..

I don't think anyone is getting anything yet? Even SFU webcams show rain.
