I think we are only seeing the beginning of what could be some epic model runs. My guess is that this is the appetizer right now and the real model ride begins in a few days. There is still some uncertainty but I think we are going to score a memorable winter pattern. :clap: :flakey:

As of now I'm favouring a dry blast kind of set up. Looking too back door to start.

Thats the general feeling I’ve had for the initial shot of cold. Quite likely dry cold as the best chances for snow to our south. But I bet the ridge continues to retrograde and the better snow chances lift north next week. Things stay cool and active through mid February. Things are always apt to change on short notice but that’s the progression I’m feeling right now.

Unfortunately the EPS just took a massive dump over the whole thing. Strange considering how good last nights was.

I guess we’ll see but I’d be surprised if we don’t see something decent in the next 2+weeks.
