I mean lets face the facts here. 2023 has started out like a complete disaster winter weather wise for us. Total lack of cold/snow...looking like from Jan 1 to Feb 15 at least. I mean we could even add graupel/slush/window splats and chunky rain to that. Waf joooooke!

It's only. been one month, we just had 5 cm (more than some winters) and there are signs of more deep troughing in the 300 hour range. We live in a coastal climate where constant snowfalls should not be expected especially in the context of a global climate shift that I don't want to get much further into.

When I see an incredibly rare 50 cm dump of powder in the christmas holidays I have a hard time complaining when we don't turn around a immediately see something better.
