Well, it’s all relative, and from what I have heard London tends to get a lot less snow than even the Lower Mainland does.

They did get roughly 20 cm in a single storm back in 2009, though, which basically crippled the city until it melted.

Yep. I was in the UK for 2010 which was a crazy November/December period for them and the country really struggled with it. It would still be "good" here but nothing nearly as disruptive. I still think they have a ton of bad journalism over there whether it be about weather or something else.

Yah l've seen that in the past it's almost like the atmosphere dries out over the city but precip continues over the north shore mountains.
It's not a rainshadow as much as just dry air over the southern areas l guess perhaps just enough outflow to dry out as well.

When the band of moisture laden winds are fast moving (strong sw winds orientation along the warm "conveyor belt" along the warm front) this phenomena seems to enhance the rain shadowing over us. (In a slow moving system it tends to be weaker). I think the rain shadow will fill once the cold front reaches us tomorrow. It's a very precise rainfall warning- the Southern portions of metro Vancouver will barely see anything except a little bit with the passage of the cold front.

That could pull it off Kells, l mean first there's a signal then it gets pulled back then it returns has been the theme for our 3 cold events so we'll see more by the weekend l suppose.

C'MON think snow blowers and winter tires.
Night shift anybody been up 48 hours what's another 3 hours.
GFS in 3 hours 14 min and 10 sec
EURO sometime this morning l'll be awake but on my 4th pot of coffee.
GEFS, EPS, JIFF and GEESH will trend colder and snowier.
