If what's happening now continues as is for 4 hours I have a shot. 3 cm/hr for 4 hours would more than do it.

Moderate snow confirmed at YVR. Hopefully the start of moderate-heavy snowfall rates for the next 3+ hrs.

It's been very fine so far. Light and fine. We need bigger flakes and higher intensity rates.
Well we're at ~12cm in literally 6 hours - doesn't look like much but... that would get us past 20cm by 4am. I do hope it gets heavier though - getting greedy.

Yep, hence the 1-2cm/hr rates. We need to see what Squamish is getting.

I think we both have shot. Rates still increasing. Halfway to 20 cm here already.

10 cm patio/11.5 lawn. Heavy snow. Earlier measurement error, took measurement in location near to large tree so was slightly sheltered. That bit is closer to the door, and I was lazy. Normally shovel the path out further to measure.

Decided to see if there was any difference. There is, about 1 cm.

Hopefully that heavy snow that has been hitting Squamish has made it's way into the Lower Mainland now and we will really start getting the goods. Poor Ol' Typing needs a good size dumping to cure his snow blues! And where is Port Kells?

Typer has 12 cm more snow than me over the season! His area may be memed as banana belt but it still does better than City of Vancouver.

Don't know if you're seeing what I'm seeing on your side of the hill, but it's picking up, even a little wind. I'm getting excited :D

If it's still snowing in Ucluelet then that's a great sign for us.
