One of the problems with late season snows. It's almost March. Even after almost a foot. A cupla days like today and it's mostly gone in 2 days with sunny skies and temps at 6 or 7 c
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Nito's Point Roberts seems to score too. HRRR is very similar to HRDPS hitting western metro tomorrow morning.

Nice. Wet snow once frozen has staying power. Powdery stuff melts quicker.

Temperature is already plummeting. Despite the melting and compaction, still have 15–20 cm on the ground in most places. It was heavy and dense to start with, is now even more so, and is about to freeze solid under the mostly-clear skies. Couple that with the modelled refresher snowfalls and it is safe to say the ground here will be snow-covered until some time in March.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Pretty sure I would have had 50+ cm on the ground this morning if it had been a cold, dry, fluffy snow instead of a wet glop that ended with mixed precip.
