The days have been so warm and sunny I'm thinking spring is here but it still has a cold bite, there was a skim of ice on the water buckets this morning. :o

:alert:
Soon the ice on the lakes in the Similkameens will no longer be walked on. Ice fishing season is almost over now. The ice is around 18" thick, but the edges are now sketchy..
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

The crows yapping about what tree they are going to build their nest in usually wakes me up early :blah: :blah: :blah:

Looking pretty cold for a few days and the sheep shearer is coming on Friday. He shears them right down to their skin so there's going to be some cold sheepies this weekend. I'll leave them in the barn unless the sun is out.

If I don’t get my five hours of sleep each night I am miserable and cranky the next day.

As soon as I get those five hours, I awaken. Does not matter how dark and early it is, I am not going to be falling back asleep again.

Fell asleep at 10:00 PM a few nights ago (before midnight, unusual). Woke wide awake at 3:00 AM.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Where's the rain? We're on track for an extremely dry March only 31 mm at the YVR gauge so far and it doesn't look like much coming. The last thing we need is a dry Spring going into a developing El Nino summer. That will set the stage for a smoky summer and another drought. Seems like the models are massively overdoing rainfall totals lately. The fronts weaken and become negatively tilted and then they dissipate with most of the rain going south. Been like that for weeks now. What's going on with the poor modeling lately?
