A lot of flowers have bloomed and died and wilted, and many plants look half dead. It does not look like spring. Drving through the farmlands today and half are flooded still with no crops yet planted. Daaaaaaamn! This year is messed up.

I think The weather is getting revenge on Nito for always trying to ruin our winter fun so now it's ruining his spring and nice weather by prolonging a real crapfest of a winterlike pattern.

Exactly Dogbone, l mentioned to a friend that spring looks stunted, sure there's green but the blooms don't look full even the cherry blossoms look gross and pretty much done.
Oh well maybe lots of chances of Tstorms this summer we can hope.

Komo
There's no mincing words anymore: this "spring" is feeling much more like winter, and has for its entirety! With highs routinely running ten to twenty degrees below average with occasional sleet or even wet snow reported from the coast to Puget Sound, we are definitely far below seasonable norms for mid to late April.
This pattern isn't going anywhere anytime soon. While late in the week had initially looked more promising for warmer and more typically bright weather, the forecasting models are now less enthusiastic about bringing on the sunshine. Instead, we'll stay damp-at-times right through the end of the week, with highs inching into the low to middle 50s at best. Some of the showers will include thunder, lightning, hail, sleet, and yes--even some more short-lived pockets of wet lowland snow

Re: April 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
Obvi dealing with some persistent snowshowers, yes even during daytime hours, most of the early part of this week in the Similkameeeens with the snow level hovering around 1000m(which is basically the surface
).
Normal Highs are around 15c during this time period. It can get very warm in late April, but also quite chilly
But these troffy snow showers dont really stick, as the ground temps are too warm. Sure looks nice during some of these heavy, convective flurries tho

More like every year is messed up. It’s either this or drought, take your pick.Hound wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 8:19 pm So you could see snow half way down the north shore mountains today, this evening. Like what the hell. it's almost May!!!![]()

They don't have a CDN version, but we can look at WA state. Here is the April anomaly thus far.
