Pretty darn pathetic Ty my man, I could care less about any blocking at this point it's just ruining ski season and putting us high dry and boring chilly, most likely stagnate once the outflow dies off plus inversion eventually

Disappointed skier as well. Been looking forward to spending most of this week and weekend at Big White and now they're making an announcement as to if they can even open. I can't imagine they'll have more than one small run open. Need a few big pacific storms lined up but first the jet stream needs to shift.

Alright moment of truth about to move overhead with yellow returns on radar. Is it hail? That would be fun.
Edit: disappointing lack of wind and hail
We had a brief bit of hail this morning around 1:30 in Bellingham. Lasted maybe two minutes, long enough to wake me up.

Snow level was about 100 m above my house on the weekend. White up the hillside, but just rain/freezing rain at my place. A few flakes did come down yesterday, but melted upon impact.
Over 50mm of precipitation at my place for the month, which is a wet month for the interior.

Bit weaker than modeled yesterday with that low tracking further south. -20mb YWL-BLI suggests 40-60km with gusts up to 80km/hr.

Showers. What showers? Not a cloud in the sky today. But yea, a few people may see some snow in the air later today or tomorrow morning.
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Looks like there are some very low snow levels down in Bellingham right now. Maybe some of our new members will see some action today.
