I was surprised how cool yesterday felt compared to the day before it. It looks like we could see some rain soon as well. Will we see a Juneuary? I have also been thinking that despite the El Nino, we might still have a wet Fall due to Pineapple Express systems, but we'll see.

True!

Thankfully, we are currently in a much better position than Calgary.

There was a rather thick layer of smog at the surface over the weekend which was evident during my hike. There's a ton of ground level ozone due to increased exhaust.

I remember being able to see clear blue sky and seeing the Vancouver Island Mountains during spring and summers. Those days appear to be over.

It's either smoke or smog.

Note: I was cherry picking the stations for that graph just to gaslight Stuffradio into thinking he's going crazy.

As the above graph shows, yesterday was the hottest day yet where all the cool people live (Ashcroft, Kamloops, Blue River, Clinton, Blue River, Puntzi Mountain, and Merritt).

But we had a drop in temperatures where all the losers, axe murderers, and the like live (the rest of us).

A MASSIVE drop of up to 12 degrees yesterday. At the other end of the spectrum was the Langara Island lighthouse station on the northern tip of Haida Gwaii where yesterday was 7.2 degrees hotter than the day before...

Does anybody know what the longest stretch of 20+ in May at YVR is on record? We gotta be creeping up on that especially after a few more days of this.

The rain looks less likely maybe a chance of showers for a day or two then ridge building back in. Will we see a pattern change to"Juneuary" like what followed the hot and dry May 2018? Or will we just see Ridge-zilla, smoke show Arizona like for all of June too like 2015? I agree that an earlier start to summer often (but not always)translates to earlier fall rains. Plus if El Nino is considered a very strong one that often means stormy for us.
