As the above graph shows, yesterday was the hottest day yet where all the cool people live (Ashcroft, Kamloops, Blue River, Clinton, Blue River, Puntzi Mountain, and Merritt).

But we had a drop in temperatures where all the losers, axe murderers, and the like live (the rest of us).

A MASSIVE drop of up to 12 degrees yesterday. At the other end of the spectrum was the Langara Island lighthouse station on the northern tip of Haida Gwaii where yesterday was 7.2 degrees hotter than the day before...

Thank you for posting these :thanks: :thanks: Nice to see the rain hanging on over the models. Thanks for posting the accumulated precip maps also. Depending on the map I'm in the 0.4 or 1.0" range, it's not much but better than nothing.  Too bad it's not snow, then it'd be worth writing home about.

Temps will be dropping 7 to 9 degrees this weekend so that we will be around 3 to 4 c above normal by then
Stop this Ridiculous Ridging! We need a WC troff to park it again. It's only mid May and the lettuces are bolting already
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

I won't say how I know, but the Canadian seasonal model is also showing a hot and dry summer- particularly June

What's really insane is that the temperature rose for 10 days in a row! Outside of the winter months, that has never happened before in BC that I can find. Kamloops has records back to 1896, and only once before has this occurred and that was in January of 2007. Never during a heatwave has it gotten progressively warmer for 10 days straight...

Smoke starting to mix into the lower atmosphere. You can smell it at times. AQ index between 4 or 5 so it's not the best day to do intensive cardio if you have sensative lungs.

Should hopefully clear out tomorrow night with the flow shifting onshore. Smoke will still be in the upper atmosphere until Monday when we get a ULL with a trough swing down the Coast.

This would really help the fire situation with snow at 2000m.
