I wonder how those fires were started. Was it just lightning or was it human caused?

Vancouver Boundary Bay: https://climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_d ... &Year=2023

Vancouver Harbour: https://climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_d ... imeframe=2
That's great to see... but it would be nice if they'd put more stations in the interior, especially the north where there are 100s of km between stations. I'd like to see one in Atlin (station closed in 2021 after 120 years of operation), Anahim Lake (no station since 1994), Germansen Landing (no station since 2013), and Muncho Lake (no max-min nor precipitation since 2014).

Not sure how you can access Pitt Meadows or Boundary Bay airports but your a t.v. star use your clout. :D
Indeed, these ones are not accessible. Maybe Vancouver Harbour is.

Starting to worry about the lack of precip being shown on the models.

Lawns are already turning brown and the top layers of soil are dryyyyyy here locally. This could be bad setup for the summer, depending on how June acts. Recent EPS runs are dry right through mid-June.

Only 16.1mm of rain this month. Curious how that stacks up against other dry Mays.

Was in Boston Bar for the weekend and interestingly the soil was still quite moist out there. They have been getting in on the thunderstorm action that has affected the interior this month.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Absolutely terrifying and devastating wildfire in a Halifax right now. Started Sunday in a highly populated suburb just outside the city.
