Expect smoke soon unfortunately.
For the interior and Alberta definitely. For us it’s tricky to forecast, luckily any on shore winds will keep things mostly clear. But when a heatwave hits and east winds become dominant, it can hit hard. Then an inversion can trap it at low levels. September 2020 was terrible for that, although the smoke came from the south.
Point is, all bets are off for enjoyable summer weather. Definitely enjoy this next but if clear weather for as long as it stays.

I've noticed EC swaps the forecast every few days from completely dry and sunny to cloudy with sun and occasional showers. Is the weather this unsettled that there is no consensus past the next day?

High of 23.5c at 7 pm, I've noticed that high temp is usually around 4 pm, and low of 10.4 at 5 am.
It reached 25c in the central valley with a rogue thunder clap over downtown Chilliwack @ 6p.m. before fizzling out and moving westward over the Fraser River and falling apart would love to see something nocturnal and high based over the Cheam range. never happens anymore only smoke and hot bone dry.
