It's crazy that we're already basically half way through the month. Yesterday I started hearing ads for Hallmark Christmas in July.

a sign of things to come? Maybe we are going to get pumbled with snow this winter?

Time flies Stuffy..how old are the kids now?

So far..not much in the way of excessive heat this year, with temps topping out around 30c in Abby on a few of the warmer days..maybe 33c tops?
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

The oldest is almost 3.5 and youngest is 7 months.

I was also thinking the other day about how the heat has been relatively benign this summer so far, with the exception of a few days in May or June. It's still getting hot outside but not crazy hot.

We are now almost half way through July and the hottest reading so far IMBY has been on 15 May, believe it or not.

If EC’s modelled temps for the heat wave starting today and going through the weekend prove correct, that statistic will stand.
It's called clown range for a reason.

~40-100mm of rain for NE BC over the next 10 days. Will help with the fire situation.

Unfortunately, it was too smoky!

P.S. kinda funny that it's hotter north of the arctic circle than southern Ontario where it's closer to the equator than the north pole!

No smoke but high overcast, I guess it could have been high smoke. I looked but didn't see any. My view north has a lot of trees. I saw pictures of some taken from Vancouver Island, pretty spectacular.

'it's hotter north of the arctic circle...' I sure wouldn't expect that!

Those are busy years!

So far, temperature wise it's been a perfect summer for me. Just need some rain to make it perfect all around, it's more like a dry late August here.
