I wonder if we will experience a wet PNE? There's no reason to believe we will right now, but haven't we had an early start to the rainy season in El Nino years? El Nino isn't acting like a typical El Nino yet. Speaking of rainy season, I saw someone posted a 2023-2024 preliminary Winter outlook 4 days ago on Youtube and the picture showed the PNW being snowy. I'll take it!

I think this is it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-kro3LDPs8

Funny how Canadian tourists are flocking to Kelowna to get some summer heat when they would have been better off flocking to Montreal or Little Chicago, NWT...

Ooooooo! Loooook!!!! 60% chance of showers, Sunday pm and Monday! 60% that's pretty good right??? The fact it's appeared pretty much out of nowhere isn't anything to worry about, right? Better get the place ready for some rain!  Right?

High of 26.2c in Sechelt, it was a hot day. It's still pretty warm at 22.5c. Supposed to get up to 27c tomorrow then cool down.

2015 we had a couple of really wet days during the PNE. But I guess that was long ago now. 8 years.
Years where we've had what can be considered an early start to the Fall rains.
1991 Insane AR late August/early September. Major flooding.
1992 ( wet and cool late August and September following a very dry Spring and hot summer)
2004 (also wet late August and Septmebrr following warm and dry Spring and hot summer)
2008 ( ridiculously wet August that year, I remember camping near Hope at year and got soaked)
2010 (dry summer and quite hot then bam, switched turned ..super wet late August and September.
2013 (extremely dry summer until late August then one of the wettest September's on record for Vancouver.
2014...one of the top 5 wettest Septembers )
2015 (aforementioned El Nino devloping year, heavy rain event late August, went from drought and water shortages to floods. Capilano river was raging and Lynn Creek overflowed).

Sky tonight! I've never seen a sundog after the sun has set, except it isn't a sundog, they're only at 22 degrees left or right, so maybe it's a halo? Anyway, it was cool.

My station hit 30.3C here in Abbotsford yesterday. It's already 27.6C now so my guess is I hit at least 30C if not a bit higher today.

Agreed. Probably a significant August heatwave. Another heat event in early September also wouldn’t surprise me.
