I'm really looking forward to some rain. I hope we get more rain than what is modeled and we get a good soaking. The grasses will be happier. It will be nice to see temperatures knocked down as well  and
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Yesterday was quite hot during the day and then it suddenly cooled quite a bit last night.

Oddly enough, my hottest temperature this season so far was recorded on May 14th. High of 33.7C. Summer peaked in May?

While I still think we are in for a hot August, it's sure been a strange summer so far. :?

Altocumulus castellanus clouds out there signifying instability. Could see some lightning towards the E Valley overnight.

Rain chances for Metro Van still look

Thank you for these maps. I've been wondering what the forecast is. EC is calling for a medium risk of 60% chance of showers between 2 and 9 am. Along with a risk of t-storms.

I'm in the green, somewhere between .1 - .2 of an inch. I guess it's better than nothing.

I like the new water vapour overlay on the atmos.uw.edu page but can anyone tell me what the orange colour represents? I can 't find a legend anywhere.

I would think it signifies dryness.
