More clown range entertainment. Maybe we'll get an actual summer heatwave after all.  :14clown:

We were always going to get a heatwave, just a matter of when.

Yeah I figured we would get one in August. Still in the clown range though. However, the 12Z Euro ensembles were bold in suggesting it. Many of the members were in the mid to upper 30's starting around the August 11th timeframe. While its still way to early to know how hot it will get, we do know those temperatures are possible this time of year in our current climate.

Mix of sun and cloud today with afternoon temps roughly between 24c and 27c along hwy 16 from Edmonton to McBride. Some smoke around Jasper. Late in the afternoon, some heavy showers rolled into McBride from the east, descending over the mountains into the valley below while it was still mostly sunny.

Pictures below are from Jasper, Mount Robson, and McBride.

Not sure what the name is but it's a pedestrian bridge across the North Saskatchewan river in southwest Edmonton.

Absolutely stunning and outstanding shots Trips homeward bound It's sad when it comes to an end nice pace though not rushed. Mount Robson is one of the most insane mountains in the Rockies.

Valemount to Jasper is quite dry, but past McBride towards Prince George you get the largest cedar trees in the interior. If memory serves me right, Crescent Spur and McBride average 21 or 22 days with rain in July, the most in the entire province. This is the result of frequent thunderstorms.

That heatwave is looking quite certain this far out. Some of the higher end members are unsettling.
