if so no worries l can hitchhike home from here or perhaps nab a E Bus just hoping big Bubba in his 18 wheeler doesn't pick me up.

Happy BC Day! It's sad that we're losing 3 minutes of light a day now.

31 at Yvr. Gonna have ATC sending planes on an adventure out of frustration with the weather.

Yeah it was a bit harsh. Sorry. Just get a little tired of his shenanigans sometimes lol.

Re: August 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Soon the daylight lost in the evening will exceed that of the morning. I guess I'm odd man out because I don't mind the loss of daylight in the morning. (I do light the long evenings, however). Kids sleep in more. Also, even before kids, waking up when it's light makes it feel like I've missed part of the day, even when it's 5am in June. Waking up when it's dark feels like a head start to the day--easing into it.stuffradio wrote: ↑Mon Aug 07, 2023 6:46 am Happy BC Day! It's sad that we're losing 3 minutes of light a day now.

Looking less extreme. I feel bad for the wildlife out in the North Pacific considering that I read somewhere the ocean is running about 4-5 degrees hotter than average and now they get the extreme heatwave but hey, better for us.

Re: August 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
Yes much less extreme.
The heat ridge stays mostly offshore. But unfortunately it's still too soon to be sure. We are still 7-9 days out and the models continue to go back and forth with the placement and strength of the ridge.
Hopefully we will get some agreement and consistency soon. That said, I've got a feeling that we will luck out and avoid a major heatwave.

Re: August 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
What shenanigans? All he did was comment on my post regarding the models backing off on the heatwave.
Can we please just be nice to each other and not start unnecessary drama? I’ve always enjoyed his posts. Never seen an issue.
Let’s all have fun here and talk about the weather.
