Monty wrote: Wed Feb 20, 2019 10:43 am Yea Friday's system has strong southerly flow ahead of the main band of precip, so it'll be another marginal setup. Models seem to be dialing in on the big undercutting next week and it's directed well to our south. Leaving us cool and dry.

How did people do for snowfall yesterday. I was out last night and missed like 50 pages of posts and don't have time to go thru them all.

Had a couple of hours of snow and sleet, no accumulation, just washed away some of what I had. I still have solid snow covering of 1-2".

Lots of cold members... we should add to our negative departures next week.

20C and partly cloudy skies sounds nice.

But it is very nice out right now!
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Spring and summer are my least favourite seasons. So, I’m okay with marginal events and general troughiness.

Very nice out indeed. Fresh snow cover, too much melting though, but better than the rain train crap.
Temp is +2.5
Smells so fresh outside. Now remember in summer when we could hardly breathe? This is awesome!
Brisk clean air. No allergy symptoms.
Well I hope we at least get 2 more snowfalls, with at least one of them being the big poppa of them all, which would be a nice send off to winter, and then ya, it would be nice to have some 12c days again. 8-)

Good points.

I hate allergies, but I still like summer. The most important thing to me is having dry days so I can work on cars and other hobbies. Pretty hard to do anything when it's cold/wet outside.

Chris Doyle said that we lose the NE outflow Friday in the S Valley and winds veer to the Same, so likely starts as snow then switches to rain while Chilliwack stays mainly snow. :x

Any snow forecast at this time of the year is nice to watch fall, but it doesn't stick around long, if at all. Even if we thread the needle, we may get 6-8 inches, but the next day sun melts half of it away. :damn: :damn: Yesterday was a prime example.
It is easy to hit 16c and sun by Mar 1 so bring it on buttees!

I don't mean this March, cuza it looks chilly but hopefully soon after :shh:

I've got about 8 cm on the ground, but there's less once you get outside of my neighborhood and into the more exposed areas.
