Unfortunately, people who were born back in the 60s, 70s, etc. won't believe anything you tell them about climate issues. You can give them any data or proof, and they will find some fake b.s to make up.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 9:39 pm Most of those who did climatology with me 10+ years ago have moved into other careers. It's just too depressing to continue onwards.
Some of the skepticism is justified. You get governments telling people to reduce their carbon emissions while the same officials take large motorcades and private jets to meetings...
Space lasers though? I think a number of people in society should be on meds.
I'm not talking about everyone born in that generation, but it's a lot, and we have seen examples on this forum.
Sometimes, it's best not to even try, unfortunately.

Yes and Covid is about to make a huge comeback John coincidence or not.
I saw that red beat up truck driving around Chilliwack a few days ago left over from the convoy with 2 huge canadian flags and written on his back window it says mask mandates were only suspended.

And to put a cherry on top, many add antisemitism to their conspiracy theories. Which sort of makes sense, given how antisemitism is conspiracy-theory based.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 9:39 pm Most of those who did climatology with me 10+ years ago have moved into other careers. I love space lasers.
We're almost 16 days away from astronomical Fall. Let's hope for some drought busting rains mixed with periods of beautiful sunshine and temps in the low 20s with lows in the 10-13C range. The trees are definitely showing signs of Fall with the leaves turning red.

Re: September 2023 Forecasts and Discussions
DEW is the jewish space lasers now? Direct energy weapons are complete bunk. Or at least 99.9% chance. People say the Hawaii fires were started by space lasers so rich people could buy houses cheap. The most plausible explanation was that it was poor management that started the fires. They should have shut off the power but they didn't so wind caused lines to swing and spark so dozens of fires started all at once, and the wind did the rest.Weather101 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2023 10:02 pm Directed engery weapon? When I see DEW, I think of the DEW Line. Distant Early Warning Line. Many of Canada's northern weather stations are the result of the DEW Line, so science and meteorology is till benefiting today.

Ever heard of Komakuk Beach, YT? Dew Line weather station alive today.
Or Shingle Point, YT? Dew Line weather station alive today.
Tuktoyaktuk, NWT? An actual community and also a Dew Line location.
Cape Parry, NWT? Dew Line weather station alive today.
Brevoort Island, NU, Longstaff Bluff, NU, etc. etc. All stations thanks to the DEW Line
