People say the Hawaii fires were started by space lasers so rich people could buy houses cheap. The most plausible explanation was that it was poor management that started the fires. They should have shut off the power but they didn't so wind caused lines to swing and spark so dozens of fires started all at once, and the wind did the rest.

When I see DEW, I think of the DEW Line. Distant Early Warning Line. Many of Canada's northern weather stations are the result of the DEW Line, so science and meteorology is till benefiting today.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distant_E ... rning_Line

Ever heard of Komakuk Beach, YT? Dew Line weather station alive today.
Or Shingle Point, YT? Dew Line weather station alive today.
Tuktoyaktuk, NWT? An actual community and also a Dew Line location.
Cape Parry, NWT? Dew Line weather station alive today.
Brevoort Island, NU, Longstaff Bluff, NU, etc. etc. All stations thanks to the DEW Line
I never said anything about Jewish space lasers? Lol

Yeah, I agree. After looking online, these space lasers just seem like completely made-up BS, lol. Some people can't grip with reality, so they look for an outlandish way to blame a secret cover-up.

Hawaii was wind driven from the hurricane it created chaos.

Apparently the Humidex, along with close to 300 different heat stress indices, causes a massive confusing jumble of functionally useless data for global meteorologists and climatoligists. Each of them is different, sometimes wildly so.

Not too uncommon. September heat waves are pretty regular in Southern Ontario.

And it was 41 at Moosonee today, which is WAY up north on James Bay (bottom of Hudson Bay)! Moosonee was also the Canadian hot spot today in real temperature. Currently 34.3.

Here is a graph showing how many hours of 40 humidex have been recorded at Toronto since 1955. Latest on record is September 24th for what it's worth.

This actually is a bit of a misconception.

Normal high is 23c. EC has also said it's not normal.

August was very back and forth with thunderstorms and sun, but nothing to crazy hot.

Wild, because June was super hot to start, so I was expecting a brutal summer, but it never happened.

For me personally, if the real temperature says 25c, but the humidex says 35c, then I don't care for the " real" temperature since I'll be experiencing and feeling 35c outside.
From a safety perspective, I do believe people should look at it like that.

Humidity is deadly when it prevents the evaporation of sweat.

Yup, 2 hours of 41 (3 and 4pm) and 2 hours of 40 (2 and 5). Also 1 hour of 41 at Moosonee. So 41 in the south in Windsor and 41 in the far north. 42 in places like Ottawa and Montreal though.

43 in Vineland, Saint-Anicet and Gatineau.

Humidex is garbage though. It exaggerates how hot it feels by quite a lot compared to the American heat index. Though, I do agree, how hot you feel because of humidity is more important than actual.

That is surprising, however there must've been some significant heat for those fires out east in early summer to have gotten so bad.
