Prayers for your mom's place Glace.
Thanks... saved by the rain and cooler weather. Fire activity is now restricted to way up the very remote Granite Creek, burning toward Nirvana Pass, which leads into the Kliniklini river system (Knight Inlet). Most the Kliniklini valley has been burned out since 2014, so fire won't get far that way. All the homes down there were destroyed by fire, in part because the Nature Conservancy of Canada bought them all so no one can live there anymore. Abandoned homes means things get overgrown and susceptible to fire.

The language in that tweet is so technical that I don’t understand any of it.
But it’s probably best to assume that it means a 1968/69 repeat is 800x more likely this winter.
l'll take it Jr. man as a kid that was one of my most memorable winters and there were a couple more afew years later.

I think it's supposed to come later today. Earlier the SREFPlumes were showing YVR would be getting ~2 inches more of rain by the end of the week. One extreme outlier model member even showed 3 inches.

Wind is mostly forecast for areas near the water but parts of the valley could briefly see some gusts in the 40-60 km/h range later this afternoon.

Happy with the
Yeah, it kinda freshens things up El Rainman, no one's commenting on A.I. Canada's computer generated forecast of sunshine later this week.
