This is YVR tho...kinda like Abby and Pitt Meadows..prolly the last areas to get snow. But even still..Dec 13 is pretty good. Must be lots of long ago winters that skewed that number..but i will check your link now to see how far back the years goRubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 9:50 am I looked it up a few days ago, and the average date of the first snow at YVR is 13 Dec[1]. So odds are we won’t get any snow next month.

I don't know about snow but I do remember lots of hard frosts in the early 90s in Eastern Maple Ridge in October while I was waiting for a school bus.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 9:50 am I looked it up a few days ago, and the average date of the first snow at YVR is 13 Dec[1]. Significant rain event is possible Monday of next week. However, models are in disagreement as to where the heaviest rain falls.

Here's a little bit of long range fantasy fun. Temps drop just below 0 and some outlier members even drop to near -5 close to Halloween!

Welp l'm surprised no mention of this mornings solar eclipse.
Here is what we will unfortunately miss due to mostly cloudy skies so it should turn a tad
twilight during max eclipse.

I was out and about with our son in the morning. We took a pair of those lenses. When the sun poked through, he saw the eclipse as did I.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 9:07 pm Yup l remember that one l was living in Mission at the time Mr. Strawmattman the high in central valley today was 16c with 5.3mm since midnight @ the pond in south Sardis.
