Man, that's just insane. Hard to believe it was 6C rain here while you were getting dumped on. I consider 10 cm a good score in mid winter, let alone in October.

The official number for the Shawnigan Lake station came in at 14cm. (They always seem to record more than me in these heavy rain to snow transition events). That total will set a new daily snowfall record for October and I believe it will also make it the snowiest month of October on record.

Wasn't it just summer?

We only have 2 seasons now. Summer and winter.

It’s early but feels like any really wet periods in the models have been shortened and bookended by ridging so far this season. Feels a bit 2002-2003ish at this point me.
