#teamsnow Nothing is set in stone for next month. Maybe we'll get periods of below normal temps and above normal temps. #teamwhitechristmas

I really doubt we will be totally skunked this winter. Even El Niño winters usually involve some snow, and the best chances are always in early winter.

That said, I am not expecting anywhere near as much snow as fell in the past winter, or the one before that.
It's called clown range for a reason.

John wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 7:47 am Hey y’all, you seem like a depressed bunch about this winter chances let me remind you it is only November the winter has to start yet!
anything is possible so far we’ve had a very nice fall with the odd, heavy rain many nice sunny days and mostly on the cool side Nothing to worry about at this point !!
Cheers
Yup totally agree John. It's only mid November and so far a good weather mix. I dont see any Nino effects so far imo. Pretty average..maybe a little drier becuz its usually raining every day in November. We dont really know whats going to happen 7+ days out from now..but there are some negative signals. We will be ok buttees
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

1968/69 was pretty lame overall until the end of December and it was an El Niño that winter. So yes, it's way too early to say winter cancel.

Imagine saying winter cancel in November and then being hit with a generational arctic blast in December and or January.
Of course I'm not saying that 1968/69 will be repeated this winter. I'm just reiterating that winter is not over until March here.

Lots of time left for at least a backdoor cold snap. :flakey:

John wrote: Thu Nov 16, 2023 7:48 am I am convinced you’re always looking for a fight.
I get that you like to jump into Hawks battles every single time, but there's literally no battle here, lol. Nobody was starting a fight. Hawk can say whatever he wants, and so can I so just relax, dude lol

As for Abby Jr. instead of liking John's comments, trying to be passive-aggressive as you so always do. If you have an issue you want to iron out with me, just shoot me a private message. I get you're probably still upset. When I rightfully called you out months ago, but that's water under the bridge, and I got nothing against you I'm just here for weather discussion nothing else.

Yup. Plenty of time left to get hammered with mild rain and strong southerly winds before Ridgeuary

Mild rain doesn’t bother me. Better than mild sunshine.
