This isn't going to be another one of those events like a couple years ago, right?

Here is our first snow

Oy, I was hopeful that this weather change was going to mean skiing by December 8. Goodbye start of ski season dream. Here come the pinapples. I think I will go up on the weekend to at least play/walk in the snow.

Why not try cycling to work, grocery store, anywhere!

Re: November 2023 Forecasts And Discussions
Way too soon to tell. While an Atmospheric River is likely somewhere in the PNW, the exact details are unknown at this time. I’d take the highest modelled amounts as an extreme outlier for now. Even if totals do end up similar to November 2021, a repeat of the devastating floods is highly unlikely due to the record low snowpack in the mountains.stuffradio wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2023 2:32 pm This isn't going to be another one of those events like a couple years ago, right?

You could be correct but I think you have made that statement every year.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2023 8:43 am![]()

No surprise but I think this will be a no-ski season for the local mountains. Clear AR pattern turns into a retrograding ridgefest in the long range.

Classic Atmospheric River pattern. People who bought ski passes won't be happy.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2023 8:43 am![]()
