That is kind of weird

The 00Z GEM jumped off board. Keeps the polar low locked up in the interior. Strong arctic boundary resulting in the cold not making it far enough south. I'd toss it out as an outlier if the Euro remains solid tonight. We'll have to see but this model ride is far from over.

I've seen the GEM flip flop like the GFS before too but it's still a much more reliable model. Time will tell but it's not over yet.

Captain obvious prediction: Pullback to reality on the 00z GEM and ECMWF later on.

1/2 so far... now we wait for the Euro.

Meanwhile, the 00Z GFS drops YXX down to -19C. Normally I'd but the Euro also showed similar extremes in today's 12Z run. Heck, I'll still
