At least the ridge over BC is gone. Hopefully this can be the pattern reset we need for a real arctic blast around the end of December or January but I'm not overly confident at this point. :(

Said this reluctantly a bunch of pages back. Nov 2014 had that dry arctic air mass and then we just went to nino blobbiness. But no two winters are the same, thankfully.

November 2014 was also significantly wetter. So we can not compare.

Abby_wx wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2019 10:11 am I might get one of these for a backup unit. Where did you buy the HP3501 model? Doesn't seem to be sold in Canada anymore... the next model down, the HP3500 doesn't have separate sensors.
Hey Abby Sr. I picked up mine from Amazon U.S. the display that comes with the unit is tiny. So I went through Ecowitt.com to get the HP2551-C display the one I posted is much nicer I purchased using a paypal account awesome ppl to deal with. I'll post some pics later of my backyard set up. The temperature sensor I couldn't place on my shed due to it heating up on the outside so I purchased a mini spec Stevenson screen through a company in the U.K. it works fantastic I looked at some of the temperature shields but they all have issues as far as reading too high. like I said I'll post some pics. later but I'm hanging Christmas lights today. And probably freezing my arse off. :D
